STANDARD TOUR ITINERARIES

Tour # 001 : 4 DAYS - KATHMANDU EXPERIENCE TOUR

Day 01 Kathmandu

Arrive Kathmandu.
Meeting and assistance on arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer to Hotel.
PM: free. Overnight at Hotel

Day 02 Kathmandu
After breakfast at Hotel, visit Kathmandu city and Swoyambhuanth Stupa

In this tour visit the 17th Century Durbar complex and Hanuman Dhoka, temple of living goddess, Narayan Mandir, Maiju Dewal, and Kasthmandap a wooden temple built from a single tree, Shiva Paravati temple, great Bell and Drum, Seto Bhairav, Kal Bhairav and Taleju Temple. Later proceed to Swoyambhunath one of the oldest Buddhist stupa overlooking the entire Katmandu valley also known as the Monkey Temple.

Afternoon: Half day tour of Patan city

Patan City - the old Newar city and see the historic Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, the sky piercing temple of Taleju and the statue of Yogendra Malla, Krishna Mandir, Sati Temple, Hiranya Varna Mahabiar (the golden temple), Mahabouddha with views of old carved wooden windows through the streets, curios shop and Bazaars. Later visit Tibetan handicraft center and see Tibetan Refugees settlement and their Handicraft working process such as Knitting weaving, finishing woolen carpets.

Day 03 Kathmandu
After breakfast. visit Pasupati, Bouddhanath and Bhadgaon city.
In Pashupati Nath area you can see famous Lord Shiva temple and Hindu cremation ground. Though you are not allowed to go inside the temple as it is strictly for Hindus only, you can clearly see the temple and the activities from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river. The two-tier golden roof and silver doors of the temple are famous all over the world.

Later visit Bouddhanath, the 2500 years old Buddhist stupa in the Valley built in 5th century with four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions keeping an eternal watch over the people and their doings. You will find Buddhist pilgrims from Tibet going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels.

Later visit Bhadgaon, another Newar city founded in the 9th century. Visit the ancient gateway, Durbar Square the Royal Residential Quarter of Bhupatindra Malla, famous five storied temple of Nyatapola in Pagoda style, Batsala temple, Bhairavnath temple, Duttatraya temple, Pujari Math and Palace of 55 windows.
PM: free for Optional sightseeing.

Day 04 Kathmandu
Free until departure transfer from hotel to airport to connect onward destination.

Morning drive to Pokhara (200kms west of Kathmandu), the lakeside resort valley of Pokhara. From here see a very close view of Mt. Annapurna (8091meters), Fish Tail (6994 meters) Dhaulagiri (8167 meters) & Himalchuli (7893 meters). This is also an ideal place for relaxation & outdoor activities such as swimming, boating on the Phewa Lake, poney treks, & short hikes & cycling. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 03 : Early morning drive to Sarangkot for Sunrise view.

Sarangkot is a 1,600m high hill situated on the northern shore of Phewa lake. On the way to Sarangkot you'll pass through Schima-Catonopsis forest and there is a lot of opportunity to watch birds. It's a 2 hour walk from Phewa lake. On reaching the hill, you can find good hotels and a tower on the top of the hill from where you can view the Pokhara Valley and also the wide range of Annapurna.


After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 04 Kathmandu

Breakfast at Hotel.
AM: Half day tour of Pasupatinath, Bouddhanath & Bhadgaon city.

Visit Pashupati Nath area where you can see famous Lord Shiva temple & Hindu cremation ground. Though you are not allowed to go inside the temple as it is strictly for Hindus only, you can clearly see the temple & the activities from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. Day 03 Trek from Pokhara to Kaliksathan
After breakfast transfer to trek starts point Bijayapur. Then 5-6 hrs walks gradually up to Kalikathan. The spectacular Himalayan views stretch from Dhaulagiri to the west to Manaslu to the east. Lunch & Dinner. Overnight at Tented Camp.

Day 04 : Kalikathan to Syaklung
After breakfast, 5-6 hrs walks through mountain ridge. On the west we can see the Begnas Lake & Rupa Lake the east, & also the snowy peak of the Himalaya, like the Ganesh Himal, Himachuli, Annapurna South, Lamjung Himal etc. This trek is very pleasant one; therefore it is also called Royal Trek. Overnight at Tented Camp

Day 05 : Syaklung to Chisopani
This is a short day’s trekking which allows for exploration of the principle Gurung villages of Syaklung to Chisopani. This part of the trekking route offers the spectacular mountain & foothill views stretching far to the eastern horizon. We’ll camp on the ridge after three hours of trekking. Lunch & Dinner. Overnight at Tented Camp.

Day 06 : Chisopani to Begnas Lake then to Kathmandu

After breakfast, 4 & half hours walk slightly down till Begnas Lake. It is a town consisting of more than 700 Gurungs. From here drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 07 In Kathmandu
Breakfast at Hotel.

Day 03 : In Pokhara
Pokhara: The rare combinations of snow clad peaks & snow fed lakes & rivers has helped to make the valley of Pokhara (200 km) one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the kingdom. A must for all visitors to Pokhara valley is the Phewa Lake. A half day sightseeing tour of Pokhara consists of Pokhara bazar, Davin's fall & Seti Gorge.

Day 04 : Pokhara/Chitwan (170 km-5.5 hrs drive approx.)
After breakfast transfer from Pokhara to Chitwan by surface. Proceed by road to Royal Chitwan National Park, 150 kms 4/5 hrs drive south east of Pokhara. Upon arrival, check-in at Jungle Lodge, refreshments & briefing about the programmes.
Afternoon: Jungle activities of Elephant safari, walking etc.
Overnight at Lodge on full board.

Day 05 : In Chitwan
Full Day Jungle activities include jungle safari on elephant back, nature walks, jungle drive, canoeing & bird watching in the park having 360 sq. miles of tall grassland & thick forests. We will attempt to search out some of the elusive animals of the Terai, & with the skill of the fully will encounter the one horned Rhino, various types of deer, boar & leopard & if we are very fortunate the elusive tiger.

Day 06: Chitwan/Kathmandu
After breakfast transfer from Chitwan to Kathmandu by surface. Upon arrival in Kathmandu check-in at hotel in Kathmandu. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 03 : Kathmandu-Charaundi

Early in the morning, we travel by our private vehicle 82 KMS westward from Kathmandu to the raft put-in point Charaundi. The vehicle ride takes us out of the Kathmandu valley & through the rice fields to the valley rim. From here the road drops dramatically around 800 meters to the village of Charaundi on the bank of the Trisuli River. At the river everyone is fitted with a life Jacket & helmet. The trip leader will give a lesson on river safety, paddling technique & what to do if you suddenly find yourself not sitting in a raft anymore. We begin rafting in a languid pleasurable fashion to get the feel of the motion on a raft. The riverside scenery is exhilarating & then it’s into the soup with big crushing waves forming class 3 rapids called “Twin Rock, Ladies Delight, Highway & Monsoon” & then the “Upset”! The best part of this trip is that after every big rapid is a calm section to settle you. The last technical rapid is called “Surprise”. Bar-be- que Lunch at riverside.

After Lunch raft up to Kuringhat. During the raft one can do bird watching, photography of beautiful scenes, swimming or sun bathing. At about 4 PM rafting ends at Kuringhat. Overnight at Tented Camp.

Day 04 : Kuringhat-Gaighat-Chitwan National Park

At around 7.00 am in the morning tea/coffee is ready. After a hearty breakfast personal gear is loaded onto the raft. Before starting there is another paddling session to refresh everyone’s memory & scrap away last night fog. This is probably just as well as today we have another 4/5 hours on the water & we get to run more 3 & 3+ rapids. At Mugling the water of the Marshyangdi tumbles into the Trishuli increasing the volume of the river. We stop for lunch at the confluence of the Trisuli & Marshyangdi” rivers. After Pinball rapid at Mungling the rivers eases a bit there are still a few challenging rapids & the scenery & the geography is very impressive. We paddle through a canyon for a while & run numerous small rapids while viewing the trops of Langur & Rhesus monkeys jumping on the riverbank. We end our last day with lunch at Gaighat. After lunch you can drive to your onward destination.

Royal Chitwan National Park having 360sq. miles of tall grassland & thick forests. The park is fast gaining a reputation for being one of Asia’s best, for both the diversity of its wildlife & its management. Upon arrival, in Lodge, a reception will be hosted by the Guest Relation Officer, refreshments served, briefing about the programs & camp facilities.

Day 05 : Full day Jungle activities in Chitwan
Full day jungle activities include jungle safari on elephant back, nature walks, jungle drive by Land Rover, canoeing & bird watching in the park having 360 sq. miles of tall grassland & thick forests. The park is fast gaining a reputation for being one of the Asia’s best for both the diversity of its wildlife & its management. The two prized animals of the Chitwan Park are the Royal Bengal Tiger & the great one horned Rhinoceros. Out of the other wild animals see Leopard, gaur, Sloth bear Wild boar, Samber deer, Spotted Deer, Hog Deer, etc & over 400 identified species of birds in the Park. Overnight at Jungle Lodge.

Day 06 : Chitwan - Daman (125 kms/3 hrs drive)
After breakfast drive to Daman hill station located 80 km south of Kathmandu. It is located at an altitude of 2400m. Daman offers a view of the breathtaking grandeur of the world’s highest peaks ranging from far west of Dhaulagiri (8167m) to the east of Mt. Everest (8848m). There is also a view tower fitted with long-range telescopes through which one can view the back of the beyond. This is also an ideal place for relaxation & outdoor activities such as Hiking, Trekking, Pony treks, short hikes & Bicycling facilitated from hotel in Daman. Overnight at hotel in Daman.

Day 07 : Daman-Kathmandu (80 kms/2 hrs drive)
After breakfast drive gradually through mountaineous road with numbers of turning.

The overwhelming panorama of the major peaks of eastern Nepal Himalayas including Mount Everest, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Choba Bhamre, Gauri Shanker and Number can be seen from here. At sunrise, the Himalayan range, stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west all the way past Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east, emerges from the darkness to greet the happy visitors with its awe inspiring majesty & beauty. Day 05 : Nagarkot- Pokhara (235 kms/7 hrs. drive by car)

After breakfast, transfer from Nagarkot to Pokhara by surface. Upon arrival in Pokhara check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy views of the Annapurna range ande the tranquil valley. Later visit Bouddhanath, the 2500 years old Buddhist stupa in the Valley built in 5th century with four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions keeping an eternal watch over the people and their doings. Day 03 : In Kathmandu
Morning: Visit Bhadgaon, another Newar city founded in the 9th century. Visit the ancient gateway, Durbar Square the Royal Residential Quarter of Bhupatindra Malla, famous five storied temple of Nyatapola in Pagoda style, Batsala temple, Bhairavnath temple, Duttatraya temple, Pujari Math and Palace of 55 windows. Witness working process such as Knitting weaving, finishing woolen carpets. Afternoon proceed to Nagarko for Lunch

Day 04 : Nagarkot - Chitwan
At sunrise, the Himalayan range, stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west all the way past Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east, emerges from the darkness to greet the happy visitors with its awe inspiring majesty & beauty.

Afterer breakfast, transfer from Nagarkot to Chitwan by surface (200 kms 5 hrs drive). Welcome and reception at Chitwan and briefing about Jungle activities program by the camp manager. Overnight at hotel in Chitwan.

Day 05 : In Chitwan
After breakfast full day jungle activities as per their program include jungle safari on elephant back, nature walks, jungle drive, canoeing and bird watching in the park having 360 sq. miles of tall grassland and thick forest. We will attempt to search out some of the elusive animals of the Terai, and with the skillfully will encounter the one horned Rhino, various types of deer, boar and leopard and if we are very fortunate the elusive tiger. Overnight at Jungle Lodge on Full board.
Royal Chitwan National Park, CHITWAN
The Royal Chitwan National Park is the lush valley of Chitwan situated in the foothills of Churia ranges which houses the first National Park of the Kingdom. This National Park is famous for its variety of wildlife especially the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. Lunch and Dinner at Lodge. Day 06 : Chitwan - Lumbini

After breakfast at hotel drive from Chitwan to Lumbini approximately 155Km 3 hours drive from Chitwan. Arrive Lumbini, meeting and assistance by the representative and transfer to Hotel Nirvana, Bhairahawa

PM: Halfday tour of LUMBINI
The birth place of Lord Buddha. The broken Ashoka Pillar, remnants of old monastery, images of Buddha's mother Maya Devi, are still preserved there inside the Lumbini Garden. Overnight at hotel in Bhairahawa Lumbini.

Day 07 : Lumbini – Palpa Tansen
After breakfast drive 85 km from Lumbini to Palpa Tansen. Visit Srinagar hill for spectacular view of town and mountains. PM : tour of Palpa Tansen : Situated on the slopes of a hill called Shreengar Danda, Tansen (60 Km from Bhairahawa - is a bright Himalayan Town. It is also the most popular summer resort of western Nepal on account of its position and climate. It has perhaps Nepal's most far stretching views of the country's chief attraction - The Himalayas; from Dhaulagiri in the west to Gauri Shanker in the north east. Overnight at Srinagar hotel in Tansen.

Day 08 : Palpa Tansen - Pokhara
Breakfast at hotel. Drive from Palpa to Pokhara 115 Km 3 hr drive. Arrive Pokhara and transfer to Hotel. Rest day free for explore Lake side on own. POKHARA : The rare combination of snow clad peaks, snow fed lakes and rivers has helped to make the Valley of Pokhara (210 km. from Kathmandu) one of the most picturesque natural attractions in Nepal. A must for all visitors to Pokhara Valley is the Phewa Lake. A half day excursion of the Pokhara Valley consists of a visit to the old city, new market, and the Seti Gorge. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 09 : In Pokhara
Morning take a hike to Sarangkot hill. This is a 1,600m high hill situated on the northern shore of Phewa lake. On the way to Sarangkot you'll pass through Schima-Catonopsis forest and there is a lot of opportunity to watch birds. It's a 2 hour walk from Phewa lake. On reaching the hill, you can find good hotels and a tower on the top of the hill from where you can view the Pokhara Valley and also the wide range of Annapurna. O vernight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 10 : Pokhara- Kathmandu
After breakfast transfer from Pokhara to Kathmandu by surface. 210 kms 4/5 hrs drive east of Pokhara. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 11 : Departure Kathmandu
After Breakfast free until departure transfer to airport with Kundalini Representative.
